Olivum becomes Gold Sponsor and Strategic Partner of the OOWC

The support of the leading international organizations in the sector continues to grow around the Olive Oil World Congress (OOWC), which will hold its second edition on July 2–3, 2026, at the Belém Cultural Center in Lisbon, and which continues to offer new sponsorship opportunities for companies, associations, and institutions.

Within this context of international expansion, the latest organization to join is Olivum, the Association of Olive Growers and Olive Oil Mills of Portugal, which joins the Congress as a Gold Sponsor, contributing to strengthening the global positioning of the event and its institutional dimension, while bringing together more than 70% of the olive oil production volume of the neighboring country within the scope of this organization.

According to Pedro Lopes, President of Olivum, “this agreement will allow us to show the world the opportunities offered by Portuguese olive growing and its potential for global growth in the future.” Furthermore, “it represents a strategic boost for us since we represent a large part of the production and processing of olive oil in Portugal.”

Gold Sponsorship guarantees prominent visibility in the program and in the official channels of the event, while also facilitating the direct registration of a large number of olive mills in the country: Olivum members will benefit from a 35% discount on their registrations, which will in turn encourage strong professional attendance and help enhance networking and business cooperation opportunities.

International associations raising the profile of the Congress

The support of organizations from different countries confirms the interest in consolidating a common space where the major present and future challenges of the olive oil sector can be addressed, including sustainability, technological innovation, market expansion, and competitiveness, while also generating commercial opportunities in a dynamic and constantly evolving market.

The Congress already has the institutional support of the International Olive Council (IOC), CIHEAM, and the Mediterranean Diet Foundation, together with public entities such as the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Alimentos de España), the Portuguese Ministry of Agriculture and the Sea, the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha (“Campo y Alma”), the Government of Catalonia, and IMIDRA.

In the private sector, this second edition is currently supported—along with Olivum—by organizations such as AgroBank, GEA Group, Kubota, Feria de Zaragoza (ENOMAQ), Dazeite, and Siliker.

Joining the OOWC as a sponsor allows organizations to strengthen their international positioning, gain strategic visibility, and establish high-level partnerships at an event that will turn Lisbon into the global epicenter of olive growing for several days.

With its program practically finalized and with the participation of the main international stakeholders, OOWC 2026 is already consolidating itself in this second edition as the major global platform for promoting the strategic development of olive oil.
