On May 28, 2026, the 19th GEA Mill Masters and Olive Mill Managers Meeting will take place, one of the most important training events for the olive oil sector in Spain. The event will bring together olive mill professionals, companies, cooperatives, and experts from across the Iberian Peninsula for a day focused on innovation, specialized training, and networking. Admission will be free, although places will be limited.
The event will begin with an institutional opening session featuring Jaime Lillo, Executive Director of the International Olive Council (IOC), and Pedro Muñoz, Country Managing Director of GEA Iberia, alongside other authorities.
One of the highlights of the morning will be the presentation “AI Applied to the Food Industry. Real Cases”, featuring David Camacho, Senior Director of the Automation Center of Excellence at GEA; Rosa Gallardo, Director of the International Chair of AI and Agriculture at the University of Córdoba; Pablo Cano, professor in the Department of Electronic and Automatic Engineering at the University of Jaén; and Alejandra Guerra from the University of Seville.
Later, Francisco Javier Reche, Sales Manager, and Andrés Junco, Technical Advisor, will deliver the session “Optimizing Your Olive Mill. Practical Examples”, where they will present real-life solutions and experiences aimed at improving olive mill processes.
After the coffee break, the program will continue with the round table “Comprehensive Olive Mill Management”, moderated by Jeremías Lancastre, General Director of Olivogestao. Participants will include María Concepción Martínez from Castillo de Canena; Carmen Morillo from Oleícola Jaén; María del Carmen Gámez from Cooperativa Ciudad de Jaén; and María del Mar Manrique from Cooperativa San Antonio Abad de Arquillos.
The final part of the event will focus on the “International Situation of Olive Growing”, a panel moderated by Juan Vilar and opened by Jaime Lillo, Executive Director of the IOC. This session will analyze different perspectives within the sector: the agronomic perspective, presented by Javier Moreno, General Director of John Deere-Trivium; the industrial and factory perspective, with Jose Ramón Segura, CEO of IRADU Ingeniería, and Aymen Bejaoui, International Manager at GEA; and the global commercialization perspective, featuring Eduardo Valverde, General Director of Conde de Benalúa, and Carlos Jiménez, Operations Director at Grupo Acesur.
The day will conclude with a networking cocktail reception designed to encourage professional connections and the exchange of experiences among attendees.
