The Executive Secretariat of the International Olive Council (IOC) is pleased to invite you to the 2026 Mario Solinas Quality Award Ceremony for the Northern Hemisphere, an event that recognizes excellence in extra virgin olive oil and honors producers who stand out for the quality of their products. The ceremony will take place on 18 June 2026 at the headquarters of the International Olive Council, located at Príncipe de Vergara 154, Madrid, and will be hosted by Álvaro de los Santos.
The Mario Solinas Awards are among the most prestigious distinctions in the international olive oil sector. Through this initiative, the International Olive Council promotes quality, innovation, and best practices in the production of extra virgin olive oil, recognizing the efforts of producers and companies committed to excellence.
The event will begin with the reception of guests, media representatives, and award recipients. This will be followed by a meeting between journalists and the winners, providing an opportunity for the exchange of experiences and the dissemination of the competition’s results. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a photocall organized for the occasion.
The official ceremony will include the presentation of certificates to the members of the jury and to the finalists of the competition, as well as the awarding of medals to the winning producers in the various categories. These distinctions highlight the quality of the oils submitted and the work carried out by participants throughout the production process.
Following the institutional ceremony, the event will conclude with a closing session and a cocktail reception for all attendees. This networking opportunity will help strengthen relationships among professionals, producers, institutional representatives, and members of the international olive oil sector.
The organizers kindly request that invited guests confirm their attendance before 12 June 2026 by email at administracion@advantiacg.com. Simultaneous interpretation services in French and English will be available to facilitate the participation of international guests. Accommodation expenses will be the responsibility of participants, and the invitation is personal and non-transferable.
To facilitate access for those unable to attend in person, the ceremony will also be available via a live online broadcast organized by the International Olive Council. This option will enable professionals and sector representatives from different countries to follow the event and learn about the winners of this edition of the Mario Solinas Awards.
