The Olive Oil World Congress (OOWC) has announced the launch of the international #BeyondOliveOil competition, a global invitation for consumers, producers and others to explore new ways of using olive oil... beyond the kitchen!
Olive oil is an incredibly versatile ingredient that can unleash creativity in many areas. Not only is it essential in gastronomy, but it can also be the basis for innovative products, from unique cocktails to natural cosmetics, or even wellness therapies.
Don't put limits on your imagination! If you are an olive oil producer or simply an olive oil lover, share it with everyone and compete for a prize of €1,000!
The competition is open to adults free of charge and will run from 12 March to 4 April. To enter, participants must create an Instagram post (post, reel or carousel) showing how they use olive oil in an original way and upload the post to their profile, using the hashtag #BeyondOliveOliveOil and tagging the Olive Oil World Congress (@OliveOilWC). The more reactions the post receives, the higher the final score.
An international jury, composed of members of the Organising Committee and the Scientific Committee of the OOWC, will evaluate the proposals by assessing their originality, feasibility and impact on social media.
In addition, associations and institutions of the olive sector can encourage their members to participate, and to be the organisation with the most creative idea!
With the backing of important institutions in the sector, such as the International Olive Oil Council (IOC), the Tórribera Mediterranean Center, the University of Barcelona, the Culinary Institute of America, CIHEAM Zaragoza, Casa do Azeite and the North American Olive Oil Association (NAOOA), this competition seeks to highlight the great versatility of olive oil, both in its personal use and in the creation of new alternative products that challenge current expectations.
Join the olive oil revolution and show the world its versatility!
The OOWC invites all companies and institutions interested in being part of this collaborative project to explore the modalities of cooperation and sponsorship, providing them with all the information they need through the Technical Secretariat of the OOWC, by calling 91 721 79 29 or sending an e-mail to info@oliveoilwc.com.
