The International Olive Council (IOC) has opened its grants call to support activities aimed at promoting domestic consumption of olive oil and table olives in its member countries. The 2026 call will fund annual projects, meaning that proposals must include activities to be carried out during the current year.
These grants form part of the IOC's promotional activities programme and aim to strengthen market culture, highlight the quality of local products and foster cooperation among its member countries. The initiative is aligned with the objectives set out in the 2015 International Agreement on Olive Oil and Table Olives.
The total budget available for the 2026 annual grants amounts to €64,100. Eligible activities include:
Organisation of seminars, trade fairs, symposia and workshops.
Setting up information stands at food and nutrition-related trade fairs.
Production of promotional materials, such as brochures, books and digital content.
Participation of international experts invited to the activities.
Support for the organisation of extra virgin olive oil quality competitions, provided they comply with the relevant IOC standards.
The deadline for submitting proposals is 14 September 2026. Selected activities are expected to be able to start in mid-October.
The call's terms and conditions and further information can be found on the International Olive Council's website.
