Second IOC training on the carbon balance tool

As part of the “Carbon Balance” project, the International Olive Council (IOC) is continuing the pilot phase of its olive carbon balance calculation tool. To support users currently testing the tool, two new virtual training workshops will be held, one in Spanish and one in English.

The objectives of the sessions are:

- Introduce the carbon balance tool and explain the data required.

- Clarify the logic behind the calculations and the reason for the information requested.

- Present the user manual, which will be updated as the tool evolves.

- Provide a space for questions and answers to resolve participants' doubts.

This pilot phase is a collaborative space. Input from users - especially growers - will help adapt the tool to better reflect the role of olive growing in climate change mitigation and sustainability.

The training in Spanish will take place on Thursday, July 17 and the training in English the following day, Friday, July 18.
