SGS maintains its Environmental Leadership in CDP 2023 List

SGS has once again achieved an outstanding A-Leadership score in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) 2023 assessment. This recognition is reserved for organisations that actively demonstrate environmental leadership by disclosing actions on climate change, deforestation and water security, and that implement current best practices.

With this score, SGS is positioned within the top 17% of companies in the specialised professional services sector that have achieved Leadership status. This achievement significantly outperforms the European regional average of B and the specialised professional services sector average of C.

Among the categories assessed by CDP, we achieved a Leadership score in Scope 1 and 2 emissions, governance, risk management processes, objectives, business strategy, financial planning and scenario analysis.

Javier López Gómez, Global Head of Corporate Sustainability at SGS, said: "Achieving this Leadership score reaffirms our identity as a fundamentally clean company. We are already successfully addressing our Scope 1 and 2 emissions, and we will now move forward, working on a material improvement of our Scope 3 emissions."
