The Olive Oil World Congress (OOWC) has opened the call for scientific poster submissions for its next edition, which will take place in Lisbon in 2026.
This international congress, regarded as one of the most important events for professionals in the olive oil sector, will bring together researchers, experts, universities, technology centers, and industry representatives to address key challenges and advancements related to olive oil. Production, sustainability, innovation, health, quality, and consumption will be among the main topics of a meeting that promotes science as a driver of transformation.
With this goal in mind, the OOWC has launched an open call to the scientific community for the submission of posters presenting results and experiences from research projects related to any aspect of the olive oil value chain.
The deadline for abstract submission is April 30, 2026, a required step for proposals to be evaluated by the Congress Scientific Committee. Authors will be notified of the acceptance of their work by May 22, 2026, via email.
All accepted posters will be displayed in digital format on dedicated screens throughout the congress, enhancing their visibility and allowing attendees to dynamically explore the latest research on olive oil. Among all displayed digital posters, the Committee will select the two most outstanding ones, whose authors will have the honor of presenting them orally during OOWC 2026.
Interested participants can consult the full rules, presentation guidelines, and details about the Scientific Committee on the official congress website:
