An oil from Madrid, among the 100 best in the world
The elaborations of the DOP Aceite de Madrid are characterized by their unique flavor and aromatic intensity, with particularities coming mainly from the cornicabra, castellana and manzanilla cacereña varieties, and a minor contribution of carrasqueña, gordal, asperilla or redondilla. Among the distinctions is the inclusion among the 100 best oils in the world of Ó de Oleum, from Oleum Laguna de Blas de Villaconejos, according to the prestigious EVOOLEUM 2025 guide. This same brand has also obtained a gold medal in ECOTRAMA 2025.
In addition, this same year, the regional government received the 2025 Excellence Award from the World Olive Oil Exhibition (WOOE). This fair, which brings together international representatives, has recognized the strategic uniqueness of the territory for the PDO and its different EVOOs, which are characterized by their unique flavor and aromatic intensity.
